Tugba Adanur

Tugba joins the Study Smart Tutors after working as a math teacher at the secondary level for ten years. She has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. She completed her California Clear Credential Program at UCSD while working at school. As a math teacher, Tugba developed and implemented highly effective lessons in sixth-grade math to college-level Calculus. In addition to teaching, Tugba served as the Math Department Head for the last six years. She led the mathematics department including modeling the best practice in mathematics teaching, monitoring achievement of students, and supporting teachers. Her passion is to create academically engaging learning experiences through an environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and kindness. 

In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family and friends, go hiking, and study data-related projects.
