Prashansa Banepali

Prashansa graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She started her career as a classroom teacher in Maryland and realized she wanted to explore the Edtech space to make a positive impact with as many students as possible.

Prior to joining Study Smart Tutors, Prashansa worked as an Partnerships Manager with a Social Emotional Learning non-profit organization. Her favorite part of the role was building relationships with district and school leaders to support them with their SEL initiatives.

The mission of Study Smart Tutors holds close to Prashansa’s heart as her family immigrated from Nepal to the U.S. when she was 8 years old. Her oldest brother was a first gen college student here, which gave her and her family an opportunity to learn about the college admission process together. She is really looking forward to continuing the work of Study Smart Tutors to support our students in Maryland and the DMV area.

Prashansa currently lives in northern VA and loves hiking the Great Falls trail with her partner. She also enjoys cooking new recipes, meditating, strength training, and occasionally visiting MD to spend time with her family.
