Peter Petroff

Peter brings over 20 years of experience in education and organizational leadership, having served in diverse educational settings across multiple states. Throughout his career, he has held roles as a teacher, department chair, new teacher mentor, educational consultant, and assistant principal. His extensive background spans charter schools, therapeutic day schools, and special education, including five years dedicated to supporting students with specialized learning needs.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Health Education and a Master of Arts in Teacher Leadership. He maintains a California teaching credential and has previously held teaching licenses in Indiana and Illinois. He also earned a certification in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). As part of a charter school network’s leadership team, Peter contributed to strategic initiatives focused on hiring, student attendance, and professional development, while leading programs and events that advanced student success and community engagement.

Now serving as Director of Education at Study Smart Tutors, Peter plays a pivotal role in driving organizational growth and expanding the company’s educational impact. Under his leadership, the Academic Services Team has grown significantly in both size and scope, supported by enhanced systems for team management, training, and performance oversight. He has been instrumental in scaling high-quality academic programming across multiple regions and strengthening company-wide collaboration through strategic planning, operational alignment, and cross-departmental partnership. Peter’s vision and leadership continue to shape the organization’s pursuit of educational excellence and equity.
