Monica Portillo

Monica brings over 10 years of experience in education, with a background that spans classroom teaching, instructional coaching, K–12 curriculum management, and business development within the education sector. Throughout her career, she has remained deeply committed to supporting students and educators and to expanding access to meaningful educational opportunities.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Counseling. Her academic background, combined with her professional experience, informs a relationship-centered and student-focused approach to her work.

In her role as a Partnership Manager at Study Smart Tutors, Monica collaborates closely with school and district leaders to listen, learn, and identify ways to enhance the strong work already taking place in schools and communities. She is passionate about supporting students in reaching their goals and empowering educators through thoughtful, responsive partnerships that drive student success.
