Onboarding Support Specialist

Laila is a youth leader and mental health advocate who has used her platform to champion her advocacy for mental health awareness among the youth. Through her initiative, “Breaking the Stigma, Empowering Young Minds,” she is dedicated to helping young people seek support and prioritize their well-being, promoting understanding and resilience while encouraging them to recognize that their challenges are valid and worth addressing.

Laila’s professional journey reflects her versatility and strong communication skills. She served as an ESL tutor for five years while pursuing a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in English. During this time, she also earned a certification in Bread and Pastry Production NC II, a technical-vocational course that provided hands-on training in preparing bakery products, pastries, cakes, and desserts, with a strong emphasis on food safety and sanitation. She later transitioned to a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Financial Management at Davao Oriental State University. These experiences refined her ability to connect with diverse individuals, lead initiatives, and convey ideas with clarity, empathy, and confidence.

Building on her educational and leadership foundation, she expanded into the professional arena as a virtual assistant and later as a customer service representative handling email and chat support for nearly two years. These roles strengthened her problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and client-centered approach. With her combined expertise in communication, leadership, and professional support, she is confident in her ability to contribute meaningfully to Smart Study Tutors as an Onboarding Support Specialist, ensuring smooth, effective support and success for both students and educators.
