Jordan Vargas

Jordan Vargas has provided over a decade of service to Study Smart Tutors. He joined the organization full-time as the Associate Director of Education in 2018 and has since advanced to the role of Senior Director of Education. During his tenure, Jordan has helped expand the Education Department from a team of 3 to a team of over 20. Some of Jordan’s notable contributions include developing methods to scale quality assurance across people and products, enhancing data-driven insights through innovative communication and reporting systems, and pushing the department’s sphere of influence across new markets and new regions.

Prior to his work at Study Smart Tutors, Jordan was a secondary mathematics teacher at a full-inclusion school where he was awarded teacher of the year while serving as an exemplary teacher, mentor, athletics coach, and community board member.

Jordan graduated with a degree in Mathematics for Teachers from Simpson University and holds a Mathematics (Examination) California Single-Subject Clear Credential. He also earned a Master’s of Science in Data Science from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay, bridging his interests in mathematics, computer science, business, and education.
