John Oh

With over 20 years in education, John has developed and directed test preparation programs that have helped ensure the academic success of students nationwide. He specializes in standardized tests including the ACT, SAT, GRE, ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, and NYS Regents, with expertise in content mastery, strategic approaches, and pacing optimization.

John’s career in education began while studying writing at Columbia University, working as a part-time teacher. After teaching thousands of students, he transitioned to educator training and has since mentored over 500 teachers while leading more than 100 professional development seminars. In addition to test preparation, his professional development workshops have focused on aligning test preparation with state standards, supporting students with diverse learning needs, and developing non-cognitive skills that drive academic success.

As Curriculum & Assessment Manager at Study Smart Tutors, John develops comprehensive educational resources (books, presentation decks, assignments, assessments, syllabi, and tutorial videos) that equip students and educators with the tools necessary for success.
