Brooke brings over 25 years of experience working with children and teens, having worked in a diverse range of industries, including customer service, high-end fashion, comic book production, and the film industry. She spent two decades as a professional in the film industry, proudly being a union member since before SAG and AFTRA merged. Additionally, she has mentored young people pursuing careers in film.
A first-generation college graduate on her father’s side and second-generation on her mother’s side, Brooke earned an Associates with Honors in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Santa Monica College and a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Film, Television, and Digital Media from UCLA. As a founder of the nonprofit Vote What Matters (now inactive), she collaborated with film industry peers to develop a program educating high school students on the importance of voting and early registration. Brooke also worked with Professor Egghead, facilitating science and engineering enrichment classes for K-5 students across Los Angeles schools.
Brooke started as a tutor and facilitator in Study Smart Tutors, where she supported programs across DOI, ETO, and Direct Partnerships. She later expanded her expertise as an Academic Services Manager, where her diverse professional background and deep commitment to youth development directly informed her work in strategic educational program support. Brooke is excited to bring this experience to support SST’s new Arts, Media, and Entertainment (AME) program, ensuring students in these fields receive the best possible guidance and support.
