Asante Shakuur

Asante Shakuur joined Study Smart Tutors in 2024 as a Partnership Manager. Asante has over two decades of experience in higher education ranging from academic program management, account management, fundraising and partnership development. In addition to other higher education positions, Asante previously served as the Associate Director of Development & External Relations at the University of Maryland and as the Director of Partnerships at the University of the District of Columbia. He is passionate about building pathways for diverse learners in all stages of life and served as the Equal Opportunity Officer (EOO) for UDC’s Division of Workforce Development & Lifelong Learning. Asante has a Bachelors of Science in Public & Environmental Affairs from Indiana University, Bloomington, enjoys traveling and being outdoors in nature. Asante resides in Maryland and is the proud father of four.
