Andy Schmegel

Andy joins Study Smart Tutors after more than a decade working with students as a coach, tutor, and teacher. Most recently, he directed test preparation programs across the Washington, DC area. He is excited for the opportunity in his new role at Study Smart Tutors to help improve access to resources for underserved student populations.

Originally from Mississippi, Andy now resides in Maryland and enjoys hiking the mountains and camping near the beach in the surrounding areas, usually accompanied by his wife Kate. He can often be found trying to recapture his glory days of competitive running – otherwise, he generally spends his free time playing board games or snuggling his two adorable cats.
