Afwandi Karunwi

Afwandi is an experienced educator with nearly 20 years of teaching Math and Science, primarily in high-need schools. Her deep understanding of these educational environments allows her to implement best practices that drive success for both students and educators. Afwandi combines her passion for student success with a strong commitment to helping educators find effective solutions to improve learning outcomes.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in College Administration. Afwandi’s journey in education was inspired by her experiences as a Youth Leader and Upward Bound counselor, where she developed a deep commitment to providing equitable educational opportunities. Having taught in multiple states and abroad, Afwandi is dedicated to ensuring that all students, regardless of background, have access to high-quality education.

As a Partnership Manager at Study Smart Tutors, Afwandi leads strategic planning and execution for educational initiatives, aimed at fostering strong partnerships and expanding opportunities for student success.
