Tutoring and Intervention : Study Smart Tutors

Study Smart Tutors works with schools and college access programs to provide in-school and after-school tutoring and intervention programming.

Our tutors work with students from elementary school through college, and support students in a variety of English, math, science, and language courses.

Tutoring Implementation

Identify best model for tutoring for target group and establish metrics for success
Connect with site stakeholders
Establish schedule based on district or site schedule
Evaluate end of semester of school-year data

After School Tutoring and Academic Support
- Support is given outside of instructional time
- Can function as “office hours” and extended learning for a targeted group of students
- Can serve as “drop-in” homework help
Push-In Classroom Support
- Tutors support teachers and students within the instruction period
- Active collaboration between teachers, tutors, and students
- Tutors can support in breakout rooms (virtual conferencing applications like Zoom)
Pull-Out and Other School-Day Interventions
- Tutors support teachers and students within instruction period
- Tutors support Google Classroom and synchronous learning outside of live classroom
- Support for students can occur in separate virtual conferencing application
