Juan Manuel Escobar Salsedo is originally from Santa Rosa, California, and attended Sonoma State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Secondary Teaching. He later completed his M.S. in General Mathematics at California State University, Los Angeles. Juan has dedicated his career to education, working as a mathematics instructor and curriculum developer for grades K-12, and has a passion for creating engaging and effective learning experiences.

In 2024, Juan took on the role of Curriculum & Assessment Manager at Study Smart Tutors, where he applies his expertise in mathematics and curriculum design to support educators and students alike. With a strong background in professional development and instructional leadership, Juan focuses on promoting educational equity and helping students succeed through data-driven assessments and innovative teaching strategies.

Outside of work, Juan is an avid breakdancer and enjoys playing chess, soccer, and various other sports. He’s always looking for ways to stay active and challenge both his body and mind, while continuing to contribute to community initiatives that support educational access and success.
